Feeding at will
Animals have a natural instinct to meet their mineral requirements by seeking out different sources of nutrients in order to absorb the amount of minerals and vitamins their bodies need.
Lickstones and lick trays are very much in line with this natural instinct. The animals can help themselves to the lickstones at will (free will) and thus balance out their individual needs.
The great advantage of a “free will” supply is that most deficiency symptoms and resulting illnesses do not occur in the first place. The animals remain vital and healthy and are more resistant to illness.
With the help of a lickstone bar, the nutritional philosophy of “free-will feeding” can be ideally implemented.
The “Lecksteine-Bar“
With a lickstone bar, the animal is offered a selection of different lickstones at the same time, so that it can ideally balance its individual requirements for minerals, trace elements and vitamins at will.
Each of our lickstones has been developed specifically for animals and, depending on the variety, has a special recipe that always takes the animal's mineral requirements into account.
By offering different lickstones, the animal can rely on its natural instinct and seek out different sources of nutrients.
